Create your Apple Podcasts Account

To distribute your sermons on Apple Podcasts, you’ll need an Apple ID, an Apple Podcasts Connect account, and your RSS feed. This guide walks you through creating the necessary accounts and submitting your show for approval.

  1. If you do not have an Apple ID, you'll need to create one here. Follow the instructions provided by Apple to complete your ID setup, ensuring that your account is fully activated by adding a valid payment method. You won't be charged during this process.
  2. Apple Podcasts Connect requires you to accept the Apple Media Service Terms and Conditions:
    • From any computer: open a web browser, go to podcasts.apple.com, and sign in to Apple Podcasts using your new Apple ID. Follow the prompts to review and agree to the terms. You can also use Apple Music, the App store, or the iTunes Store.
  3. Now you can log in to Apple Podcasts Connect with your Apple ID (two-factor authentication may be required).
  4. Click Get Started to officially join Apple Podcasts Connect.

  5. When setting up your account, you'll see a screen prompting you to enter key details:
    1. Use your church’s name for the Account Name.
    2. Select "Company" as the Account Type.
    3. Agree to the Terms of Service.
    4. Click Save.
  6. On the next screen, click Add Show.
  7. Select Add a show with an RSS feed and click Next.
  8. Copy the Podcast Feed URL from Planning Center, and click Add.
  9. On the next screen, select This show does not contain third-party content, and fill in your contact information.
  10. Finally, scroll back up to the top of the page click Save in the upper right to confirm the changes.
  11. PLEASE NOTE: Apple moderates all submissions, and will process your show details. You'll need to check back in on your account 24 hours to click Publish and officially push your sermons podcasts live.

  12. When you log back in, you’ll also need to specify how often your podcast will be updated. From the Update Frequency dropdown, select Weekly.

Then scroll up and hit Save and then Publish.
  13. After your podcast is published and you have the show URL, copy it and paste it into the Church Center app under “Third-party podcast directory feed URLs.” This allows your podcast to appear directly within the Sermons section of Church Center for easy access.
